Ben Howard
music / England
Ben Howard was born in London and spent his teen years in Totnes, Devon. Ben, now 22 years old, is currently working between Falmouth and London. His organic style has been compared to the likes of Damien Rice and Ray Lamontagne.
With his rare yet unique style of guitar playing, he has gained lots of plaudits during his live performances, also notably for his guitar and distinctive string tapping. In April 2009, Ben won the Red Stripe music award, in front of a packed crowd at the Kentish Town Forum, and beat off thousands of other aspiring acts from across the UK.
This led to Ben playing a number of festivals through out this summer including Glastonbury, Great Escape, LoveBox, Boardmasters and Blissfield. Most recently Ben has supported the likes Paul Weller, Jason Mraz and Fink, to name a few. His success has spread right across Europe, enhanced by the role he has now taken as an official Ambassador for the brand Quiksilver.
